After reading mixed reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. The views were magnificent, and the staff lived up to their reputation for friendliness. A homely vibe and exceptional meals made my stay worthwhile. There seems to be room for improvement regarding breakfast options, but the overall experience exceeded expectations.

excellent access to historic sites and beautiful waterfront views

I had a lovely time during my stay with a comfy bed and a nice shower room. It was easy to explore the nearby Roman Bath House and Wery Wall Remains, just over 2 km away, and stroll along the beautiful waterfront that offered stunning views and fresh air.

The apartment had a decent layout with some charm, spacious enough for a small group. Location is a highlight, situated conveniently close to attractions in Morecambe.

The experience fell short due to several maintenance issues. The WiFi was a headache, with an inability to get a working password despite repeated attempts. The shower had low pressure, making it almost impossible to wash properly. On top of that, the accommodations weren't fully prepared. the camp bed for a fourth guest was unmade, leading to an awkward sleeping arrangement. Breakfast, though promising in price, didn't deliver with cold bread and an overly vinegary sauce. Attention to detail seemed lacking, with mismatched mugs and a poorly fitting toilet seat. it could be a nice spot, but several annoyances really put a damper on the stay.

Enjoyed a lovely meal with stunning views, but the slow service dampened the experience. Our meals arrived separately, and we waited nearly an hour. Nonetheless, the food was delicious—worth the wait! Tip, visit during off-peak hours for faster service.

The ground-floor apartment offered direct access to the outdoors, making it easy to step outside for some fresh air. The spacious layout provided a nice amount of room for a couple to move about comfortably during our stay.

Unfortunately, the heat had a significant impact on our comfort level. With just two small windows available, airflow was lacking, and the room felt stifling. I noticed some cleanliness issues when we arrived, including an unpleasant odor due to dirty towels in a corner and neglected cups. While there's potential here, a bit more attention to detail would definitely enhance the overall experience.

Great location but some hiccups

We stayed for 2 nights, and while the view by the river was fab, the dining experience was a bummer. Booked a table for our anniversary, but they had a private party instead. Ended up in the chilly bar with limited food choices. Kudos to the staff for being super helpful, though! Nice spot to chill if you're not too picky about dining.

Dog-Friendly with Spectacular Views

We recently enjoyed a lovely stay for 1 night with our westie, in a spacious and impeccably clean ground floor apartment. The views over the estuary were stunning, and the staff provided excellent service, making us feel right at home. The pub's location is perfect for a quiet getaway, although it would be nice to have breakfast options available.

Not recommend for families

We liked that the apartment was very comfortable and clean, provided some relief after a long trip. the pub food was decent but not really enough when you're starving after your travels.

It wasn't cheap, but still acceptable for what you get.

My family and I had a lovely stay at The Golden Ball Hotel! The apartment was spotlessly clean and included a cozy corner with a sofa, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The location was fantastic, just a 2-minute drive from central Morecambe, and the food in the pub was delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our overall experience even better.

The put-up bed wasn't adequate for an adult.

We stayed one night and it was nice! The room was spotless, which I really appreciated, and it was quiet too—no noise from other guests. The restaurant had decent food, and we enjoyed eating outside. The mattress was a bit hard for my liking, but the overall experience was solid.
